JRT racing is a fun sport you can do with your terrier. Terriers are loaded into a start box, muzzled for everyones safety...A motorized pully system pulls a fake quarrie (sometimes this is simply a plastic grocery bag) down the racing lane. The terriers are released from the start box and race down the lane, to a narrow opening at the finish line. It is not the first dog to the finish who necessarily wins its the first through the hole. The racing lane might be just flat or may include obsticals such as jumps or water. Most terriers will catch onto racing with very little training.
